Hornets & Hedgehogs
I made a new video showing two creatures I’ve been working on. Hornets are similar to previous versions, but are now procedurally generated and have a new attack: poison sting. Hedgehogs are completely new and have another prickly attack. It’s called spike swirl and allows them to shoot spikes around them in all directions. Here

New World Generation
I developed a new technique to generate landscapes in a more meaningful, less random way. Basically, it works by generating for each region a coarse map where all strees, builidings, rivers, bridges, trees, caves etc. are placed and connected in a logical way. From this simplified representation, a detailed voxel world is generated while the

Slimes ‘n Crabs
I’ve been working on adding more creatures to Cube World Omega, this time slimes and crabs. Apart from being procedurally generated, they get new signature abilities. When slimes reach HP below 50%, they cast ‘Divide’ which allows them to split into multiple smaller, weaker versions of themselves, but with full HP. Crabs get a new

Frogmen, Lizardmen, Playable Races, Procedural Weapons & Armor
I finally added the last two remaining playable races: frogmen and lizardmen. Again, they’re procedurally generated and can have different facial expressions (neutral, happy, angry, sad, surprised, blink). For now, we have the following playable races, just like in the original game: human, elf, dwarf, goblin, lizardman, undead, frogman, orc. Here is a video showing

Oh no, Ogres!
I justed implemented ogres. As always, they’re fully procedurally generated and also they have procedurally generated wood maces as weapons. Furthermore, I gave them a new signature ability. It’s called belly slide and allows them to quickly charge towards their enemies, dealing a lot of damage and stunning them. I made a video to show

New Zombie Skill
Today I added a new signature ability for zombies. It’s called ‘eat’ and allows zombies to grab the player so he can’t move and slowly eat his HP while healing themselves. Here is a short gameplay video: You can escape this attack by dodging, stunning, or using an ability which gets you away quickly, like

Zombies, Code Snippets and Signature Abilities
Zombies! Today, I added procedurally generated zombies. Here are some screenshots: Code Snippets While going through my code of my procedural model generator, I found a few code snippets that I wanted to share with you. I found them quite funny and thought they might give you some insight how my generator is working. For

Procedural Undeads
Today I was working on procedurally generated undeads, so I made this short clip for you to check them out: I still need to give them special hair styles (currently they still have goblin and human ones). Next on my list are lizardmen and frogmen.

New blog and new project: Cube World Omega
Hi everybody, I’m currently working on a new version of Cube World. I chose the project title Cube World Omega as a reference to Cube World Alpha, because I’d like to develop it in the spirit of that version, but with a new engine and new features. I made a video to show you some
